About this session

What we do, why it matters, and how to do it at a higher level.

This session helps administrative professionals better understand the real work of administration beyond what a job description can capture, whether they are newer to the role or already have years of experience.

Job descriptions list tasks, but they rarely explain how to perform those tasks well in a real work environment, including how to manage what happens between them, handle interruptions, understand the context behind the work, and make better decisions about how the work should move.

For most participants, this session is the recommended starting point in The Administration Series.

AI in the session

AI is introduced as part of the changing landscape of administrative work, with a focus on how it can support clarity, understanding, and more intentional execution of the role.

Participants will leave with:

  • clearer language for the role
  • a stronger understanding of effective administration
  • a more deliberate day-to-day approach to the work

This session is designed to improve:

  • clarity of communication
  • consistency in priorities and recurring work
  • judgment around workflow and follow-through
  • awareness of where systems and habits can be improved

For leaders, this should result in:

  • stronger ownership
  • fewer avoidable friction points
  • more effective support in the office

Registration details

After registration, participants will be emailed a short form to complete their registration details. Please check your spam folder within 24 hours to make sure the form has not been missed.
