Support at a higher level through stronger judgment, context, and discretion.

This full-day in-person session focuses on judgment; how administrative professionals interpret context, make decisions within their scope, and contribute more meaningfully to the work of the office.

As expectations expand, the role increasingly involves more than completing tasks. It requires understanding priorities, reading situations, making decisions with incomplete information, and acting with appropriate discretion. This session focuses on how to do that well in real working environments.

The session can be taken on its own, and it also connects to the broader series. Where earlier sessions focus on understanding, structuring, and moving the work, Judgment and Higher-Level Support focuses on how that work is interpreted and handled at a higher level.

*Attendance for this session is limited to support a more focused and practical discussion.

AI in the session

AI is positioned as a support tool within higher-level administrative work, while reinforcing the importance of judgment, context, discretion, and human decision-making.

Participants will leave better able to:

  • apply judgment in day-to-day decisions
  • interpret context and priorities more effectively
  • respond appropriately in situations that are not clearly defined
  • contribute with greater confidence at a higher level of support

This session is designed to improve:

  • decision-making within scope
  • contextual understanding
  • discretion in handling sensitive or complex situations
  • the ability to operate beyond defined tasks

For leaders, this should result in:

  • more thoughtful and reliable support
  • better decision-making at the point of execution
  • reduced need for direction on routine matters
  • greater trust in how work is being handled
